2009/2010 Transmission Rate Application

Introduction

Over the past several months, Hydro One Networks has been busy preparing its 2009-2010 Transmission Rate Application which we plan to file with the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) in late August 2008 following approval from our Board of Directors.

Stakeholder Discussion Session

It has been our experience with previous rate applications that stakeholder input is instrumental in helping us produce a more customer-focused application. The main objectives for this consultation program is to:

  1. Address stakeholder topics of interest that relate to either the last filing or other current regulatory activities that may influence this filing.
  2. To the extent possible, work towards narrowing the issues to be addressed Hydro One and interveners as part of the OEB review and approvals process.
  3. Review the specific revenue requirement and associated rate impact.

The first stakeholder meeting was held on June 4, 2008 with stakeholders who have a material interest in our transmission rate application. The groups invited to participate are organizations that had participated in previous Hydro One transmission rate proceedings and include local transmission companies, large industrial customers, generators, environmental and public advocacy groups, aboriginal organizations and energy industry representatives. Stakeholders invited to the discussion sessions were provided with the following documents:

Hydro One recognizes that other stakeholders and customers might share an interest in its rate application and consultation process. To ensure that other stakeholders and customers are informed about the process and allowed to provide us with feedback, materials made available at the stakeholder discussion sessions will also be posted on this Web page.


Stakeholder Discussion Sessions

The first stakeholder discussion session took place on June 4, 2008 at the Sheraton Centre, Toronto. Presentations, handouts and meeting notes from the session are available for download below:

A special stakeholder consultation meeting occurred on December 17, 2007 at the Toronto Sheraton Centre Hotel. The meeting involved discussion about two Ontario Energy Board directives from the last Hydro One Transmission rate filing involving Hydro One's transmission asset base, and compensation costs benchmarking. Past intervenors were invited to take part at this session. Presentations and meeting notes from the session are available for download below:

Hydro One held two half day sessions on October 15 and 17 to discuss the OEB decisions and directives from the 2006 Transmission Rate filing. The notes for both sessions are available for download below:
