Hydro One Networks has begun to prepare its 2007/2008 Transmission Revenue Requirement & Rate Application for submission to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) for rates effective some time in 2007. The stakeholder process will consist of a minimum of three formal stakeholder meetings between May and July 2006 in the Toronto area. The main objectives for this consultation program will be to:

  • inform key stakeholders about our transmission business, and the approaches and methodology used to run our business and determine revenue requirement, and cost allocation and rate design;
  • provide stakeholders a range of opportunities to provide input and feedback on all aspects of the application; and
  • ensure stakeholder concerns and views are identified, understood and considered in the preparation of the application.

All consultations will be carried out on a without prejudice basis.

The first stakeholder meeting will be held on May 3-4, 2006, with stakeholders who have a material interest in our transmission rate application. The groups invited to participate are organizations that had participated in previous Hydro One transmission rate proceedings and include local transmission companies, large industrial customers, generators, environmental and public advocacy groups, aboriginal organizations and energy industry representatives. Stakeholders invited to the discussion sessions will be provided with Terms of Reference, which set the framework for participation and a Preliminary Issues List to begin the dialogue.

Hydro One recognizes that other stakeholders and customers might share an interest in its rate application and consultation process. To ensure that other stakeholders and customers are informed about the process and allowed to provide us with feedback, materials made available at the stakeholder discussion sessions will also be posted on this Web page.
