Stakeholder Consultation Program

Hydro One conducted a stakeholder consultation program between April and July 2005 to assist us in preparing our 2006 distribution rate application. The main objectives of the program were to establish open dialogue with stakeholders and develop a shared understanding and prioritization of the key issues affecting the application. These consultations were carried out on a without prejudice basis and are not a replacement for the OEB process.

Hydro One's consultation program consisted of three discussion sessions held in April, May and June at the Metropolitan Hotel in Toronto with stakeholders who had a material interest in our distribution rate application. The groups invited to participate were organizations that had participated in previous Hydro One distribution rate proceedings and included local distribution companies, generators, retailers, environmental and public advocacy groups, aboriginal organizations and energy industry representatives. Stakeholders invited to the discussion sessions were provided with Terms of Reference, which set the framework for participation and a Preliminary Issues List to begin the dialogue. Hydro One recognizes that other stakeholders and customers might share an interest in its rate application and consultation process. So to ensure that other stakeholders and customers were informed about the process and allowed to provide us with feedback, materials made available at the stakeholder discussion session were also posted on this Web page.

Stakeholder Discussion Sessions

Three stakeholder discussion sessions were held at the Metropolitan Hotel in Toronto. The first on April 7 and 8, 2005, the second on May 17, and the final two-day session was held on June 27 and 28th.
