Of course any time you modify your home's wiring, you're required to have an electrical inspection to ensure that the work meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. Wiring is not the place to take short cuts. For your own safety and that of your family and friends, have your wiring done by a licensed electrician and inspected by an Inspector from the Electrical Safety Authority.
