Usage Table

The tables below can help you gauge your annual electric heating and cooling costs.

In addition to the heating and cooling costs provided below, our Appliance Calculator is another helpful tool that can help you estimate how much power your appliances may be using - and how much they cost to operate annually.

Please note: All the heating, cooling and appliance calculator costs provided are based on a variety of assumptions and averages, and should only be used as a guide.

Please note: For practical purposes, these calculations are based on an overall bundled electricity rate of 8.417 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh). To be able to provide you with a general estimate, we have assumed a commodity cost of 4.3 cents kWh, which represents approximately 51% of the total bundled rate (of 8.417 cents kWh) used in these estimated calculations.

*If you have a forced air electric system, add $64 to the figures in the 'electric resistance' column.

Approximate space cooling capacity in square feet, based on an average sizing requirement of 18 Btu per sq. ft. of air conditioned space. (Provided for information only.)

EER ratings are used to represent the most efficient model within each cooling capacity category.
