Energy Efficiency Tips and Tools

The goal of the Fall 2007 Every Kilowatt Counts coupon program is to provide Ontario homeowners and tenants with the necessary tools to save electrical energy and to have a positive impact on the environment by implementing "easy-to-do" and "low cost" measures.

The objectives of the Program are to:

  • Provide every Ontario household with information on energy efficiency and conservation activities within their house or apartment.
  • Achieve energy and demand saving by providing meaningful incentives to households to undertake one or more energy-saving action.

The Fall 2007 Program will run from September 17, 2007 through November 30, 2007. Learn more.

For the Fall 2007 Program, the featured products and rebates are:

  • $2.00 instant rebate on ENERGY STAR® qualified compact fluorescent lights — all shapes, sizes and configurations
  • $2.00 instant rebate on Seasonal LED lights — strings only. No wreaths, displays etc. Only strings. There will not be a minimum number of bulbs per string required.
  • $15.00 instant rebate on programmable thermostats for electric baseboard heaters.
  • $7.00 instant rebate on ENERGY STAR® qualified residential light fixtures.

  • $2.00 instant rebate on lighting/appliance control devices — motion sensor switches, timers, and dimmer switches.

Coupons will be distributed to Ontario households through:

  • A brochure will be mailed to all households in the province starting mid - September 2007. The brochure will include energy conservation information and the coupons for instant discounts on the featured products.
