Your bill explained
Hydro One Networks, like all Ontario distributors, now provides you a
bill with unbundled charges. Electricity is shown separately from
Delivery and other industry-related charges, which were required
to pass on to you, whether or not they originate from us.

Understanding how you are billed
Knowing how you are billed will help you understand your rates and charges,
and will assist you in reading your bill. Your bill is calculated around
two main factors: how much electricity you typically use in a month
and your meter setup. Based on these, you will fall into one of two
categories:
a. For customers who typically use less than 50 kW (kilowatts)
on average per month and are set up with a standard meter(s) capable
of measuring kWh (kilowatt hours).
or
b. For customers who typically use more than 50 kW (kilowatts)
on average per month and are set up with a meter(s) capable of measuring
both kWh (kilowatt hours) and kW (kilowatts).
If youre not sure of how you are billed, heres
an easy way to figure it out. Take a look at the Your new charges
section of your bill to see your meter calculation. If that calculation
contains references to kWh (kilowatt hours), you fall under kWh.
If it contains references to both kWh & kW (kilowatts), then you
are billed as a kWh & kW customer.
For more details about your meter type and how it affects the type
of bill you receive, see Your Bill Explained.
