06/18/08 - Hydro One Transmission Rate Adjustment Application

Hydro One Networks has applied to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to adjust the Transmission rates for implementation on January 1, 2009. This application reflects the OEB approved 2008 revenue requirement. The current Transmission rates implemented in November 2007 ending December 2008 are the result of a repayment of over collected Transmission rates from January 2006 to November 2007. This application requests that the Transmission rates be adjusted to end the repayment.

While the proposed January 2009 Transmission rate is an average 9.2% increase over the current rates, it reflects an approximate decrease of 5% over the 2006 rates. A copy of the submission is available on Hydro One website at:

Hydro One is also in the process of preparing the 2009/2010 Transmission Rate Application which is expected to be submitted to the Ontario Energy Board at the end of August 2008.
