Click on a Distribution System Status Map to see at a glance whether there are any outages in your area. To help you identify which Operating Centre you're located in, use the red buttons on each map to turn graphical layers on/off showing major highways or cities, or to see upcoming planned outages (represented by a blue "tools" icon). Use the yellow "Reset" button to clear all layers.
Once you've identified your Operating Centre, look at the coloured dot on that region to see how many customers are currently experiencing an outage (See Legend). Simply click on the dot (or icon) on that region or choose the name of an Operating Centre from the drop-down list and click the "Outage Report" button to read a complete outage report including estimated restoration times* and to view/download a detailed map (in PDF format) of that Operating Centre.
System Status Maps and outage reports are updated every 15 minutes based on available information.
*Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) data on power outages on this Web site should not be considered as firm commitments for power restoration. ETRs are predictions by Hydro One crews when they arrive at the site of the problem based on a host of factors such as severity of damage to facilities, accessibility in bringing in replacement equipment, and opportunities to "backfeed" affected customers by rerouting electricity supply through other power lines.
